Elana Eisen

At the age of nine, after learning the violin for only a year, Elana won an exhibition place to study at Trinity College of Music Junior department where she learnt with Diana Cummings. During her time there, Elana progressed to leading the symphony orchestra and a prominent string quartet.
Elana made her concerto debut playing the Dvorak romance for violin
and orchestra. The following year she performed the Saint-Saens
Violin Concerto No 3 at St John’s Smith Square, London. She has
given concerts in venues including The Wigmore Hall, St James’s
Palace and The Royal Festival Hall and has toured extensively in
Europe and most recently China as an orchestral player.
Elana has appeared in master classes as a soloist and chamber musician with Sophie Langdon, Robert Cohen and the Fitzwilliam, Wihan and Chillingirian quartets. Her chamber performances have included concerts in the National Gallery, Victoria and Albert museum and most recently in festivals in Braunschweig and Wolfsburg, Germany.
While at the Royal College of Music studying with Professor Yossi
Zivoni, Elana gave solo recitals for music societies in and around
London and the Home Counties. She has been selected to perform under
conductors including Sir Roger Norrington, Bernard Haitink and Sir
Charles Mackeras. Elana has recently won a scholarship to study with
Lydia Mordkovich at the Royal Academy of Music.
When
not playing with the Dea Quartet Elana performs with her piano trio
and the Neiredes Ensemble. Keen to expand her musical horizons, she
plays the baroque violin and viola and was recently a guest artist
on the Young Punx Album, Your Music Is Killing Me.
